Everytime I present factual evidence about the WuHan flu I am refuted by family members who are actually working with Covid patients so I naturally concede based upon their experience. But as time went on the whole "first responder lovefest" started to erode and the truth about what is really happening started to come out. But in the end they still believed in Covid and it seems like they are afraid to even question the pandemic. Maybe its the don't bite the hand that feeds you situation where if you do question the pandemic you will either be hassled or you might lose your job.

I think you’re onto something. Those who spoke out on social media were silenced, those who spoke out on camera were ridiculed & slandered, and the ego stroking by media & politicians was insanely over the top. Nurses were still getting paid while the govt’s list of “non-essentials” continued to expand. Hospitals were making bank for calling everything a Covid case & more if they had Covid deaths. That’s a good bit of incentive.

As for right now, I think the shame of being so wrong about something so huge is something many don’t want to face. They were called the heroes, experts, “The Science”, & “essential” while everyone else was called a “super spreader”, “non-essential”, risk to other’s health, etc. To admit all that fear & damage that you supported might not have really been necessary would be difficult.
