It’s a straw poll, conducted by McLaughlin & Associates. People at CPAC are the respondents. I don’t know how many but it’s safe to say over 30, and the sample population doesn’t introduce too much worry for this poll to demonstrate the underlying point.
Here’s the issue: Everyone knows Kamala Harris and Joe Biden were hugely unpopular with Democrats (she got <3% in her own state in the primaries, and Berniebros hated Biden). Their support was the Dem corporate wing, Wall Street, and they ended up buying off support from the ‘Obama-Jarrett wing’ and AME church network. They didn’t really campaign, raised most of their money from the big corps and raided BLM coffers. 20% of the voters who did vote for them were unaware of their big scandals, which means they were pretty unengaged with the candidates.
So how to explain how these two supposedly got more votes than any candidate in history? Sure, machines and a few corrupt poll workers can switch votes, and you can print and forge as many ballots as you need (particularly if you prevent them from being audited), but eventually it becomes clear that they just aren’t as popular as candidates like Trump and Obama who draw massive crowds (and Trump’s crowds even dwarfed Obamas).
So the media narrative is that, well, Coronavirus kept EVERYONE except Trump supporters home for all political stuff except BLM, and it wasn’t that people LIKED Biden/Harris (because nobody even watched their Zoom video stuff either, while Trump videos pulled in millions), it was that everyone was SOOoo unhappy with Trump, their dissatisfaction and (blindly inarticulated, but that’s another topic) hate for Trump motivated them to cast ballots against him, supposedly explaining why despite all the downballot races that seemed to ride Trump’s coattails, and all the bellweathers indicating he had won, there were these masses of mail-in votes that all came in during the middle of the night against Trump, consisting of ALL the independents, ALL the Democrats, AND A HUGE PORTION OF REPUBLICANS, TOO.
But CPAC is a very mainstream Republican convention, so at least SOME of these angry, Trump-disapproving Republicans should have been present in the straw poll. But they’re not.
The TV can make it look like a big percentage of Republicans disapprove of Trump, by limiting who they put on air. The establishment Republicans in Congress can vote like a percentage don’t approve of Trump, but they’re only a few D.C. ‘elites’.
But even in the face of massive tech censorship blocking most everything positive about Trump, they can’t fake that among the masses of real people WHO FUCKING LOVE THE GUY, and it gets reflected in every metric that isn’t manipulated.
