Jenna Ellis is a nice woman, and I’m sure she’s a fine lawyer. However, her advice to wait out the clock was a disastrous strategy, and we may very well have lost the federal government, forever. Nice people aren’t going to win this. We need joyless, competitive, cold-blooded bastards, who love seeing people lose.
She and Rudy went with a standard, appellate strategy. They advised Trump to take several different states, appeal on procedural grounds, and take those up to the Supreme Court. I.e. not that Trump actually won, but that the various local elections were too contaminated for any votes to be awarded. This was a cause of tremendous friction, between the team and Sidney Powell. Sidney wanted to go on a media offensive, while alleging that Trump actually won, and that those votes were provably switched to Trump. Rudy/Ellis were going for a narrow Trump win, while Sidney was out to get as many electoral votes, as possible. Maybe I’m missing something; if I am, please let me know.
Now, I’m as disappointed in Sidney and Lin Wood, as anyone here. German server raids, and all that. However, I do believe that an aggressive strategy would have been much better. At the very least, in the mindset of Trump’s supporters. We weren’t going to take back 2020, by sacrifice bunts, singles to right, and good baserunning. We needed home runs.
Now, there were certainly things that weren’t the Rudy team’s fault. Pence, the SC picks, and Pennsylvania’s rule changes, the previous year, among others. Not locking down fair election rules, the previous years, despite knowing that it was coming, is also a head scratcher.
Great analysis. It fits very much with my own observations.
Interesting that you mention not locking down the election rules. I would think the fault of that lies at the feet of the GOP, and yet Trump is on Steve Hilton right now saying positive things about Ronna McDaniel.
I know he has to try to keep the Republican Party together for purely election math reasons, but some of his base is disappointed in that. They are thirsty for blood and want to hang the heretic RINOs. We're not going to be able to primary all of the RINOs so we need to keep them in the fold so they don't become Dems. It's politics and it's ugly, but it is sound strategy.
Was certainly more invigorating than her opening arguments before the Supreme Court about Election Fraud that she doesn't talk about anymore ... Oh wait.
No one even remembers Jenna Ellis letting the entire world get fucked over.

Could you please elaborate on this?
I'm unfamiliar with how Jenna advised to "run out the clock".
