I always kind of thought he was picked for VP only to make evangelicals feel safe. He was relatively quiet, did a decent job at the debates and then cucked out when it mattered.

I've never been an evangelical type, but it's exactly that framework of boomer conservatives that is responsible for us having these emdless arguments about trannies and immigrants. People cuck out when it matters because they still want to be seen as "nice" or it benefits their pockets.

The left doesn't give a fuck about nice. In fact, the left doesn't give a fuck anymore than when a black guy robs some granola, multiculti liberal and they're like "but we're for Black Lives Matter!". "Yeah, gimmie your money faggot." Being nice guarantees very little from the snakes and rats that make up leftism.

He was selected by the GOP as Trump's VP to keep Trump reigned in. That was the only way the GOP was going to allow Trump to have the nomination back in 2016, even though the majority of primary voters wanted Trump.

For me, this was Trump's first true act of unveiling the swamp - showing us everyone who loved the Republican party more than they loved the USA.

Accurate. He also made the leftists comfortable because he was so measured. I recall many arguments about how they would rather have him number one. I explained that he’s a politician(an implied do nothing deceiver) and that’s why they felt comfortable. They didn’t like that. The left and even the middle wanted that soylent/soma feeling AMD that’s part of the reason we ended up dementia/BO term 3. To them Trump is chaos but our side knows that disruption and “chaos” bring order and a return to traditional norms.
