This might be unpopular here, but I think we should consider the GOP to be made up of three groups.
RINOs/neocons (the people in this picture, who actively help Dems),
Conservative Inc (the non MAGA types that are still reliable votes incl on immigration and the culture war and don't spontaneously help the Dems)
MAGA.
I know most people here despise group 2, but I think we've seen that they are mostly reliable as long as pressure is put on them.
Best to target group 1 with great fury.
By all means target group 2 in primaries, but only if you have enough resources and time to clear out the RINOs entirely.
You might dislike e.g. Ted Cruz or Kennedy or whoever, but you'd be foolish to waste time battling them when you could be battling Kinziger, Cheney, etc. You don't lose votes from them, and they don't go to CNN to slag MAGA off.
