Lol...he was talking about basketball. For one, hooping, as it's described here, can be used by addicts who are trying to avoid track marks and/or have trouble finding usable veins. Floyd was not an IV drug user. And even if he was, he def wouldn't have been going to a homeless shelter to hoop. I would bet that of the very limited number of heroin junkies Hooping, they would all be exclusively white, 80% male.
And one final point - when the well-built, athletic, African American, felon said to the cop that he was just Hooping, and you decided that meant "going to local homeless shelter where a stranger would pull his pants down and literally tickle his butthole with heroin" rather than "shoot some hoops at the basketball court"....well then you sir, win this week's "Mental Gymnastics" GOLD MEDAL! Congratulations!

Floyd admitted during his arrest that he was “hooping.” Hooping is usually when you stick drugs up your ass, to get high or to smuggle.
