Whistleblowers are only credible if they are anonymous

There was a time --- called the 1970s --- when a news network might receive a phone call or fax from an underground organization claiming responsibility for a bombing or assassination or something after it happened. They'd just file it and consider it un-newsworthy, because anyone could do shit like that.

People are much more stupid now.
