Honestly the worst thing that happened to this kid was that he became a figurehead for the right. That just amped up the attention and drive from the left to see him put away.

If it had been a thing that happened and then died out as it was going through the legal process, probably wouldn't be seeing this right now.

He became a figurehead for the right because the left tried to crucify him. One didn't spawn the other necessarily, both sides had their own agenda. The thing not to ignore is that firearms cases like these end up badly for those on the side of good all the time and should never be ignored.
