I am glad they did this. They could have pretended to hear the case and found creative excuses and delays. This way we know now that all institutions of importance have been absolutely corrupted and can plan accordingly. This will be tough -- like trying to cure someone with stage 4 cancer that has spread to every organ.
The rule of law is now a fantasy. We are headed towards blatant dictatorship and every four years, a new puppet will be selected. We will be like 1984.
The fraud was always going to stand. SCOTUS just put their official seal of endorsement on it.
So the third branch of government is completely useless like the other two now. Disappointing but not surprising.
