Every libertarian I know smoked weed long before it was legal.

Its the 'Liberals', New Democrats and 'Green' parties that wanted to legalize weed.. and not for any of the smart reasons like textiles and medicine, but for recreational/sedation purposes.

Libertarians want to smoke weed and sell it if they want to, and they want everyone to fuck off and mind their own business. They certainly don't need permission to smoke it, or legislation decriminalizing it.
