I'd imagine they got most of that info from El C aleady. And, it'd easier to lock her up and throw away the key like they did for him rather than to risk a lot of repercussions from the cartel.
Did you see they just pulled in Mrs Chapo (his woman) she is in custody now as an accessory after the fact.
