if you create weapons and sell them to people who use them for evil, and you do this knowing that, then I absolutely can say that is morally and ethically reprehensible.
That’s the point though. One person is making software and doesn’t decide how it’s used. Both are paying taxes and don’t get to decide how it’s being used.

I didn't know that you don't have to pay taxes if you don't like what they spend the money on.
