dickie was a tetracycline baby, betcha. it was used as a common drug to treat acne back in the day; lots of women passed it on to their children. also, if kids were given tetracycline while teeth were forming/growing, it bound to the calcium in the teeth. there is a bleach for it now, but previously, the only alternative was caps/veneers/dentures.
