The USA cannot be a capital “N” Nation. A Nation is a People. We are not that.

We can be a Republic. But the Republic is gone.
Right now the USA is a Corporation.
Not sure the Republic can be restored...because it famously was not KEPT.
I think Franklin’s “if you can keep it” implies that if you can’t, you won’t get it back.
