Probably the same, but less economic migrants, less commie blocks and no social housing which means the market decides the rent, which makes rental a nonviable option for the poor.

On the other hand, living in a rural area in the US must be easier than in EU. More reasonable gas prices, less tax on car and house ownership, and generally cheaper homes.
