You may be right, or at least partially. But I think it's something deeper. Almost Samson-esque. Like, an inability to see the swamp for what it is, in practice, even though he knows it in his heart, that place of vision, where he crafted MAGA.
I don't think it's possible for any boomer to be the savior-figure we need, frankly. They are too entrenched in the system.
I'd love to see Desantis take a shot. That said, obviously, I know Trump won in 2020, and I'd take him easily again over Biden or any of these other swamp rats in either party.

I don't think it has a thing to do with "cognitive impairment". It's more along the lines of "business man" vs "politician". Different skill sets.
