Of the following TV shows (random examples), even if you enjoyed them, how many portrayed men as strong, independent, and incorruptible:
Friends
Seinfeld
Big Bang Theory
Modern Family
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
The Office
Gone are the days of Bonanza and Perry Mason. The only men allowed to be strong on TV these days are criminals (Dexter, Breaking Bad).
My biggest annoyance is the superhero shows. Can you think of any male superhero currently on TV who: 1) Doesn't have a support network, 2) Isn't complaining about how tough his life is, and 3) Isn't constantly on the verge of losing everything to an unstoppable long-term foe?
The only superheros who are allowed to be strong on TV is female superheroes, but only in their first season (e.g. Supergirl), when they're trying to build an audience.
What's wrong with Tom Holland's Spider-man in your opinion?
Tobey Maguire was pretty good Peter Parker, not so great Spider-man
Andrew Garfield was pretty good Spider-man, but terrible Peter Parker (and the whole plot about his parent being secret agents was kinda stupid)
Tom Holland managed to hit pretty well on both being Peter Parker, and on being Spider-man in all the movie he's been in (not to mention, we finally got someone reasonably aged to play high-schooler)
Let's not forget about the propaganda.

Captain America is still based.
Agreed. Unlike TV, some of the movie superheroes are still strong.
As a counter-example, look what they did to Spiderman. I can't watch the recent ones.
