Yeah, I have absolutely no sympathy for tyrant protectors. As far as I’m concerned this is just a little karma, same as them sleeping on the floor. A certain saving about you get what you fucking deserve comes to mind here.
After you enlist, any stand you make against your superiors will be a life altering decision that will stay with you long after the cause is gone. These guys didn’t sign up to protect an illegitimate presidency.

They took the oath long before any of this happened. There wasn't a recruitment poster out there saying "Help Turn DC into a Communist Fortress. Would you like to know more?"
They're literally slave soldiers at this point. If they dare to question anything about what they're being made to do they will have their lives ruined and possibly face jail time. None of them actually signed up under Biden (though any that reenlisted while there deserve what they're getting, but that can't be many of them). I'd imagine most are not going to re-up after this experience.

Most troops are good people and trying to better themselves. Some even join out of gasP patriotism. Regardless of motivation THEY signed on the dotted line when so very many of you clearly have not.
This does not mean we are better than you. Nor does it mean we want our asses kissed (although a small percentage of "those" type exists). We just want to be left alone and not shit on. Not much to ask for.

Clearly not a recent one. You have no idea what the Obama years have done to the military. Hell, the Bush years, too.
There's something you fundamentally don't get about the US, the source of our power, and the world as a whole. And that's OK, because most people don't get it. It's not taught to people because it's not some highfalutin ideal that we like to pretend we have. It's raw control. The global economy? That's the US economy. We literally own the whole world economy. Everywhere business is done, it's done according to our rules on the playing field we created and that we manage. So why is a conflict in the Middle East an issue we should take an interest in? Because it threatens either the system directly or the stability of the system. That can't be allowed because instability breeds more instability. Like a crack in a window: you have to address the issue immediately so that it doesn't spread and shatter. How do we do that? With old fashioned control. Reset the local playing field, set it in the right direction, and we're back to normal. That is what drives the US economy.
Sure, but knowing now what I just told you, would you sacrifice our nation's power just to avoid taking part in conflict or looking bad? Would the trade off be worth it? Because nature abhors a power vacuum, and when you're out of power you naturally have no say over who comes INTO power or what they do with it. Could be China. Do you want that? Or is the game we've been playing preferable, albeit unsavory?
Never said they were. Most are lost little children who have no idea what they're doing. They just see the benefits and are attracted like moths to the flame. And that makes them good soldiers. It's better if most of them never question what they're being used for. It'd be harder to use them if they did. And they're certainly not going to understand or accept the reality I just told you, so it's better to keep them in the dark, throw a bit of money and some medals at them, and tell them they did good so they can die happy, either on some far away battlefield or at home when they're old. It's basically like in The Matrix, where Neo has a choice. But in this case, the red pill doesn't wake you up in some real world. You're already in it and the red pill is just that you go on seeing the real world as it really is. The blue pill simply puts you back to sleep. Most people need the blue pill (as it is in this context) because the red pill would kill them.
You've got it backwards. They enlist to get money and they potentially have to kill in order to stay alive long enough to use it (or get awarded even more money).

The haters in here are living in a fantasy. Life sucks for all of us, but how much are any of us really giving right now? I imagine a buttload of these guys either enlisted or reenlisted under Trump and were pretty fuckin stoked to do it. We cheered that a few months ago. Now they're screwed and trapped, and many are probably looking for the most efficient way to exit, especially after opening those boxes prepared by likely TDS outfits. Some got lucky in the opening salvo and were "vetted" out - ironically these were the ones who who supposedly could have caused trouble and we can presume they're working through a discharge process right now. The others stuck in that hellhole? They'll get hosed with desertion, become felons and worse if they choose to defy their orders. Yeah sure, you might cheer that decision and call them billy bob badasses. But they'll be fucked for life for it, even if we manage to straighten this mess up.
And you'll be sitting comfy at home with options. Go do something productive to MAGA and let's keep our eyes up.
One thing I like to do is to look at the haters' profile, check the join date, and see if they could be a shill or a bad actor. A good indicator would be the handshake, but if there is no handshake, a good rule of thumb would be joined anywhere from November 2020 onward, which is about 120 days now.
Difference between me at home and then is I didn’t swear an oath to protect this country, up to, including, and beyond stopping America’s domestic enemies from installing an illegitimate president. Hell, I was in the military in the past, and if I saw what was going on today, I'd take a discharge in a heartbeat.
I seriously doubt any soldier will look back on protecting Biden and be proud in any sense of the word.
People act like it's impossible for someone in the military to leave. I've seen people go AWOL for way less than this.
I got an honorable discharge, but I have heard it is possible for people to get an "other than honorable discharge" upgraded to an honorable discharge after a period of time. Not sure exactly how that works.
If you get a dishonorable or other than honorable discharge, it might make it more difficult to get government jobs, but I think most non-government jobs wouldn't give a shit about your discharge status as long as you didn't do something crazy. Refusing to take part in a political photo op in DC would likely help you with conservative employers anyways.

You literally cannot stand up for anything while in uniform. MP's will take you away and you will have a military trial for violating the UCMJ. And a dishonorable discharge does a lot more than just kick someone out of the military.
The military requires the Supreme Court and/or Congress to rule against something or make a law, if they are to go against orders.
K tell that to the military that purges all opposition and treats solders horribly to a currupt supreme court law and order went out the window a long time ago.

If they refuse they will be handed an Other Than Honorable Discharge AT BEST, which means all of their benefits, such as VA benifits, schooling, etc are permanently removed and they are ineligible for government assistance, and that's the AT BEST ending. You don't want to know the "at worst" punishments.
