You literally cannot stand up for anything while in uniform. MP's will take you away and you will have a military trial for violating the UCMJ. And a dishonorable discharge does a lot more than just kick someone out of the military.
The military requires the Supreme Court and/or Congress to rule against something or make a law, if they are to go against orders.
K tell that to the military that purges all opposition and treats solders horribly to a currupt supreme court law and order went out the window a long time ago.
