Well as a "boomer" I don't know any other boomers who think that way unless they're completely loony tunes liberal. Most of remember what it was like to live in better times and we tried to get our kids to understand that as well. Hell, most of the ones my age that I know have been out there volunteering for years and years and trying to pass that on as well. I don't have cable or a cell phone and didn't let my kids have any of that until they were out of high school and bought it for their selves. I could go on and on but what's the use anymore because each generation wants to blame the other. I think first we need to look in the mirror and see what it was through out our lives that we just couldn't live without. I know our family learned delayed gratification. I can't say the same for the grandkids now days.
