Being canceled because it "contains a controversial illustration of an Asian man holding chopsticks and a bowl of rice whom the text called a “Chinaman who eats with sticks."?

.. Controversial? At the time, when still trying (as context) to conquer the technical wonders of the one-speed Bicycle 🙄 , it was 100% literally true.

Exactly. Stop pandering for 1% gains in the black community (who will never vote red)...same goes for muh "based immigrants" who vote 70% blue. Focus on the white and Hispanic vote

47
goldkeyboardwarrior 47 points ago +48 / -1

Trump gained a lot more than 1% of the black vote in the 2020 election; I'm pretty sure it was the largest share of the black vote a Republican got in decades. I know of several black people, including myself that voted for Trump in 2020, and a few of them didn't vote for him in 2016.

On the other hand, being openly racist towards black people because you think it's not worth the gains means you will not only lose their vote, but the votes of their white friends, their white coworkers, and other white people down the middle you thought you could rely on. All because some of the people here angry about election fraud decided to call a bunch of black people "riggers" because they are acting like it's a smart, stealth way to call them that same word with the R replaced with an N. Rigger isn't a dog whistle, it's a bullhorn, and nobody is being fooled.

And if your rebuttal is "well, Dems will just use Dominion again in 2024, so it's not worth it," then what's the point of having any supporters at all? There are still local and state elections Dominion hasn't touched but can still be lost if legitimate voters turn their back on us because they think the party is full of racists. Dominion doesn't control Florida, for example, which is why Ron DeSantis is governor and not Andrew Gilliam.

I'm against the pandering cringe many of these woke, virtue-signaling SJWs full of white guilt are doing, and I think BLM would have been declared a terrorist organization if everything was exactly the same except it was for white people. But that doesn't mean the solution is to prove the blue checkmarks that think all Trump supporters are racists as correct.

trumpdouble 8 points ago +8 / -0

Amen. I think that the increased support for Trump from the black community this time was from people who saw through the msm, and realized that Trump is not a racist. Trump wants every American to succeed..

7
Watdawat 7 points ago +7 / -0

Yup. The massive gains in the Black and Hispanic vote signals a massive landslide but there was so much cheating and fraud.... there will never be another fair election... good job Republicans!

3
FliesTheFlag 3 points ago +3 / -0

Those gains are how we know the dems cheated, bigly.

6
Isolated_Patriot 6 points ago +6 / -0

I agree with your post wholeheartedly, but I want to point out:

Rigger isn't a dog whistle, it's a bullhorn, and nobody is being fooled.

I actually literally refer to all the people who rigged the election with that term. It includes the pasty white faces on CNN and the Supreme Court. There were a hell of a lot more white people involved than that one picture of two black BLM supporters counting.

7
goldkeyboardwarrior 7 points ago +7 / -0

Good for you; I'm glad that you're on our side. The issue is the person two posts above mine was obviously using rigger to refer to black people since they started spitting out statistics and voter records of black people after using the word.

4
RedRedRed 4 points ago +5 / -1

Well said. It's destructive to our party and cause.

3
TearofLys 3 points ago +3 / -0

Shouldn't focus on race at all. The America First message should resonate with all Americans, regardless of race, as a rising America lifts all Americans with it. Democrats have to play the racist card as it is the only way they can pull votes. They would get demolished if they just told the truth about what they were actually trying to do.

22
TarHeelMAGA 22 points ago +22 / -0

There is no need to use insinuate the use of the N word. No need to at all. Don’t prove that you are a racist. You loose the argument immediately. We all replace rigger with the n word. Just go ahead and use it then. That’s the point.

I mean it - and I’m fatigued by all of it. The past year has been entirely Memeflu and Jogging Appreciation.

And I do think they deserve most of the blame, but it’s an education/social media issue in my opinion. A whole generation who have made their entire personality and purpose in life to be about caring about skin color, and always publicly stating their virtue for social points. It’s just pathetic.

7
War_Hamster 7 points ago +7 / -0

Black Lives Matter History summarized.

George Soros needed foot soldiers for the upcoming Purple Revolution and to spread the false America is Racist narrative so they hired some braindead haters and taught them some Marxist dogma and the rest is history.

Don't bother pointing out hypocrisy, it never works. Just double down on the people who make decisions like this. They had better not pick up a single pair of chopsticks again, those culturally appropriating bigots.

16
TheThreeSeashells 16 points ago +16 / -0

I point out their hypocrisy by simply calling every single Leftist I meet a racist with a wealth of their supported policies ready as my examples. I don't give a crap if someone calls me a "racist." It's like calling a skinny person "fat" or a person with a full head of hair, "baldy." It's empty. However, calling the Left out on their overt racism drives them nuts. Sure, it's a small victory, but we have to entertain ourselves somehow.

11
War_Hamster 11 points ago +11 / -0

No, I like it. Push back on them at every opportunity. Cede no more ground.

3
hungryfreaksdaddy 3 points ago +3 / -0

Pointing out the hypocrisy is useful for one purpose, redpilling the normies without an ideological horse in the race. It's like debate. The purpose isn't to persuade your opponent; it's to persuade the audience. So, point out the hypocrisy, but always do so publicly.

There is much to rescue, and it is very encouraging to see others archiving our history and traditions.

That is the problem with e-books replacing library books. Titles can be removed instantly, as if they never existed, or stealth edited. Why use fire when you can electronically erase them. At least wikipedia has a change log for now.

This is a mix of 1894 propaganda (rewriting the past) and Fahrenheit 451 (Firemen confiscate and burn books).

I bet that they will all be revised and republished. Thing 1 and Thing 2 could easily be asexual.

Everyone should download useful and classic books on all subjects and save them locally.

5
hungryfreaksdaddy 5 points ago +5 / -0

Coloured people don’t like Little Black Sambo. Burn it. White people don’t feel good about Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Burn it. Someone’s written a book on tobacco and cancer of the lungs? The cigarette people are weeping? Burn the book. Serenity, Montag. Peace, Montag. Take your fight outside. Better yet, into the incinerator. Funerals are unhappy and pagan? Eliminate them, too. Five minutes after a person is dead he’s on his way to the Big Flue, the Incinerators serviced by helicopters all over the country. Ten minutes after death a man’s a speck of black dust. Let’s not quibble over individuals with memoriams. Forget them. Burn them all, burn everything. Fire is bright and fire is clean.

Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury

Sound familiar?

If you secretly thought blacks were inferior (like if you thought they didn't know how to use the internet, couldn't get ID because they were dumb, shouldn't be allowed to decide on issues for themselves)... then it would be racist to refer to them as black.

3
booblitchutz 3 points ago +3 / -0

I suppose that's true. The entire concept of racism the left promotes today requires mind reading.

"I know what you said was racist BECAUSE I know you believe x, y and z"

Decades ago people were denied entry to buildings based on the color of their skin, for example. That didn't require mind reading.

The dems only see one thing wrong with that, and it's not "authoritarianism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy"

6

Fascism is "far-right,

They added that part very recently.

Right wing is conservative of past values, small government, equal application of the law.

Far right would be some kind of anarchy, or total reliance on local governance, not circling back to the big government total-societal-control of the left. They deliberately invented the concept of "far-right" to associate the Democrat-Voting, white supremacist, authoritarians with the Republican Tea Party movement.

3
DiscoverAFire 3 points ago +3 / -0

Oh yeah. I forgot to say "in their view, fascism is: "

Some far too long and gets hard to read with many of the made up words, but they really inspired my son's love of reading and reading from them every day to him helped him read on his own much earlier than his peers. (I think the frequent rhyming found in his books made it more fun for my son)

I mean I may have but I only remember the cat in the hat, green eggs and ham, and a few other ones

I remember reading most of those books as a kid.

Where do we turn our copies in for burning?

The laminated covers and pre 00s materials make them carcinogenic and climate changing - no can do

not even for heat in freezing red states where green energy failed

"And to Think that I saw it on Mulberry Street" is one of his best books. That was my favorite as a child. If they are so worried about a Chinese man holding chopsticks, then maybe the Chinese (and other cultures of Asian descent) should stop having chopsticks in their restaurants. Or if it soooooo offensive, freakin' photoshop the darn chopsticks into a spoon and make the character look anime. What rejects.

Was gonna buy these books while you can still get them, but since the publisher is the one dropping them, I see no reason to give them my money.

Look for them at Half Price Books if you're in the Texas area; or Goodwill, yard sales, etc.

How interesting that there is no citation of what is supposedly "racist" in these books. The only thing mentioned is one line that says "a Chinese boy who eats with sticks." What's wrong with that? Acknowledging reality is racist?

Asians using chopsticks = bad

Skywise 5 points ago +5 / -0

The press won’t even show the allegedly racist images that have been in children’s books and celebrated for decades.

I came across a blurb while looking for the images that they had banned “Barbar the Elephant” for promoting colonialism - I kid you NOT

“There’s no such thing as cancel culture!”

A hardy “get fucked faggots” to the publishers. Just how do you even look at yourselves?

I'd like to see these specific "racist" images.

Sounds like some of this, like Chinamen, was just a product of the time.

Glad it is okay to think poor kids are just as smart as white kids and some people in urban areas are not able to use the internet.

(Lots of sarcasm)

Ed_Ward 4 points ago +4 / -0

Wow, even the very first Dr. Seuss book is banned.

Why doesnt Biden sniff black kids?

3
OrangePill 3 points ago +3 / -0

Fun Fact: Dr. Seus drew political cartoons during WW2 and it's pretty obvious from some of them he definitely supported FDR and the Democrat party of that time.

What should be really pointed out in light of this though are the several he published several against racism and a questioning why blacks were being denied abilities to help in the war effort.

This site below has archives of all his political cartoons from WW2.

We need a modern reinterpration of If I Ran the Zoo.

Modern day book burnings

xdrunkagainx 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's not as if they teach minorities how to read in public schools anyways.

DeepWinter 3 points ago +3 / -0

Just actual Nazis doing book burnings and sheit.

3
DemsH8America 3 points ago +3 / -0

Seriously these people are a fucking disgrace!

2Bad4U 3 points ago +4 / -1

I am offended that all white children look like those two same kids from the cat in the hat. Also, I am offended that the cat in the hat is a child abuser. I am offended by the author who is not a real Doctor. I am offended that the white kids are pure white while we all know they are shades of pink. I am offended that everything rhymes in his books, people who rhyme are evil heroes. I am offended by the talking fish who is a goldfish. All the other fish should be able to also. Why are alot of books yellow? That is offensive to Asians. YOU CAN MAKE ANYTHING OFFENSIVE!

Lordahdaring 3 points ago +3 / -0

Nazis burn Commie books, history has come full circle.

2
xdrunkagainx 2 points ago +2 / -0

Seriously lets have an old fashioned book burning. Everyone show up and throw your Dr. Seus books in the bonfire.

Typing out how displeased you are with Joe on any internet forum should be done in Suess format from here on out.

maga_maga_man 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is complete and utter bullshit. We won’t have Trump for four years, and they aren’t following the rules. Come on man, why aren’t we revolting already?

2
KonaBadLad 2 points ago +2 / -0

I do not like this, not on bit. Sounds like more cancel bullshit. I will continue to read books that I like. I will not listen to some woke dyke. The Left will never take my books away. And then force me to read ones about being Gay. We must not give even one small inch. They continue to take things like the Grinch. Next you'll say I must dye my hair. And take drugs to make my balls not there. But I'll resist because I'm a Man. On God and Guns is where I'll stand. I pray for things as they were before. And promise to vote TRUMP 2024.

2
Fecklessgod 2 points ago +2 / -0

My daughter likes dr Seuss, but now I’m no longer buying due to the publisher caving to the woke mob.

2
SuperDuperHypersonic 2 points ago +2 / -0

Don't they know that cancelling Dr Seuss is anti-semitic?

2
Ladybug87 2 points ago +2 / -0

The books they are trying to cancel:

If I Ran the Zoo

And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street

McElligot’s Pool

On Beyond Zebra! Scrambled Eggs Super!

The Cat’s Quizzer

3
TxTwoStep 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah - also said The Cat in the Hat is "safe for now"....look for it to die soon as well. Geez...of all the stupid things for people to get butt hurt about.

1
Juantinntwo 1 point ago +1 / -0

That is the publishers golden goose. They won’t allow it to be canceled.

2
mercynurse 2 points ago +2 / -0

My Biden voting sibling is 100% against this and all cancel culture.
