Conservatives in general want peace and quiet, and to just be left alone. In general, that means paying our protection money (taxes) and going about our business. As a pastor, I have looked hard at the question of when are we allowed to rise up against a tyrannical government that, whether we like it or not, God has allowed over us. Ultimately, such action needs to be taken by an appropriate agent after every legal option is exhausted without redress. The appropriate agent in this case is the rightful President or the state governors taking a stand for their people. It is not the place for citizens to take up arms independent of an appropriate authority as that will only encourage anarchy and lawlessness.
As a matter of realpolitik, the legitimacy of the current regime is not backed up by the will of the people, but by the capacity to pay its military. Why do you think 2020 saw the greatest transfer of wealth from the citizens to the billionaire class? Those with honor in the military and intelligence divisions of the executive branch have retired. Those who remain and who run them will serve whoever can afford to pay them, and the Leftists have the deepest pockets. Because of this, we angry individuals need to rally behind the appropriate agents if they call for our help. But without that call to rise; without that call to act, individually we will lose. We want to fight them to the death; but we need a leader to call for it after first proving for the whole country to see that the rule of law no longer governs at all.
Had he actually called for violent insurrection after SCOTUS initially refused to hear his cases, there is no doubt in my mind that we would be embroiled in a very bloody civil war right now, and would have been the coup the left is already claiming. The more the Jan 6 coup is cried out, the more ridiculous they appear. The more the law and SCOTUS demonstrate the shame of their inaction, the more the angry citizenry will withdraw their support for the current regime. As the Biden/Harris administration continues to tailspin, the more the governors are going to have to take action to protect their states or submit to the coastal elitists. This darkness has been looming over us for decades. All we can do is be ready when it descends upon and we are called to act according to our consciences.
