I see Snow White in a new light. I think all the dwarfs are actually representations of the short little people like Tom Cruise and many others who work in Hollywood and they're all fawning over a prepubescent little girl -- I think Disney was a visionary! lol
Snow White was based on a true story. Interesting to read about the dwarves were children which had mutated, scarred, and hunched over from pollution and injuries from working in mines, their brightly colored clothes were ear safety clothing so they could be seen in dark mines.
She was sent away, not to country, but to city. Both to avoid strife with her step-mother and to find a husband and build relationships with royalty. Her father owned mining companies where the mutant children worked. She was believed to be poisoned, not by her stepmother, but rather by an upset suitor. Her name was Margaretha von Waldeck.
Snow White is basically a big child trafficking commentary, both that Margaretha was a pawn in the court, and that the dwarves were slaves. Both Margaretha and the dwarves were basically poisoned by objectification of others, one beauty, others ugly.
