If you are using the Post 9/11 GI Bill to go to a community college, you are doing it wrong.
That’s like if someone told you that you won the car of your choice (taxes and insurance included) and instead of picking the Bentley, you pick the Ford Focus.
Some of us (like myself) made poor choices in high school, so that was our only option 😂... a few semesters and transfer is what I had to do.... state schools weren’t much different though...
While I understand that some of us didn't have a good enough GPA in high school or even dropped out and got a GED, there are other options besides a community college with many of the schools that were advertised in the education centers.
On the other hand, if community college is the best option for you, then it's understandable. Still, I would normally avoid the community colleges that were local to the area I grew up in.
Hey, guy, you don't know everyone's situation. When I got out in 2010, there weren't many good-paying jobs waiting for me and, like some others who have commented here, my high school grades didn't give me an open ticket to the college of my choice. So, I had to start my GI Bill time at community college and use the stipend to pay much of my bills.
I really don't regret that choice. Some of my professors were department chairs from the bigger universities and brought so much expertise into the classroom. If you were one of the few students who actually cared, and I was, getting one-on-one instruction with a professor wasn't hard. After a few semesters, I had my pick of universities. I even ended up with enough GI Bill time left to cover my first year in Seminary.
I get what you're saying, but it was a necessary choice for some of us.
dude i quote this sketch routinely even 20 years later with my dad haha. that or the one when will ferrell threatens to rape someone if they "dont get off the shed" lol.

Especially these days. The universities are no better than the community colleges as far as the woke bullshit goes.
You wanna see an assignment I just had to do for a university?
I do
Yes.

The idea that the classes matter is a common misconception. You are at a college to purchase a degree. If you want a good education, visit a library.
Do it on your own time though. No employer gives a flying fuck what you know, they want that piece of paper.

Learn a trade instead. Huge demand as none of these retards will ever know how to do anything for themselves.
That does result in a shorter lifespan though.
Meh.we get more pussy and are in better shape.
not how the GI bill works
it only pays up to a certain $$$- and honestly doesn't pay that much.
i agree that if you're eligible for GI Bill + TA and you're NOT using it you're just throwing money out the window.
but for a lot of people it wont even cover most expenses at normal universities and stuff
Yeah but what if its a Dodge Stratus?
