Some of us (like myself) made poor choices in high school, so that was our only option 😂... a few semesters and transfer is what I had to do.... state schools weren’t much different though...
While I understand that some of us didn't have a good enough GPA in high school or even dropped out and got a GED, there are other options besides a community college with many of the schools that were advertised in the education centers.
On the other hand, if community college is the best option for you, then it's understandable. Still, I would normally avoid the community colleges that were local to the area I grew up in.

The idea that the classes matter is a common misconception. You are at a college to purchase a degree. If you want a good education, visit a library.
Do it on your own time though. No employer gives a flying fuck what you know, they want that piece of paper.
