What I worry about with this is the 24th amendment abolishing the poll tax and the supremacy clause being weaponized by the ACLU to get this quashed federally. States need to make IDs free to get around poll tax complaints, as there is precedent, and if IDs are free, then we're back where we started where almost anybody can vote. The other issue is that HR1 being pushed by house dems will most certainly have provisions that nullify aspects of these laws or make them unenforceable, and the senate version has pre-emptive buy-in from all your favorite RINOs. There's got to be a better way to do this.
