It's okay to make a first attempt of contact which includes facts and logic but the second they start spazzing out and activate NPC mode you just have to call them buzzwords and you win.
I wish I learned this sooner.
In a discussion with retarded commies or any typical NPC the best course of action is to repeat their accusations back at them and maybe sprinkle in some logic too.
E.g.
NPC: "You think muslim rape gangs are bad, you're racist"
Patriot: "Wow you assume all muslims are brown, that's so racist, typical white supremacist"
They freak out and backtrack and sometimes genuinely consider their behaviour. It sucks but it works.
Back when I still had Facebook, I did this to a lefty who called me a "pussy". I asked him if that aligned with his feminist sensibilities and when he said it did not, I told him he should apologize to all the women who had read that statement.
He apologized. I "won" the discussion.
I almost, ALMOST called him a pussy for apologizing. Looking back, I should have.

It's so lame that it works but it does. It's like arguing with a woman. Using logic and reasoning doesn't work, just play with her emotions and change her mood and immediately you win.
I wish we did too. We let the other side define the battlefield, and then we wonder why we're on defense.
It's like when someone calls you a racist. They don't believe that is true, because they are expecting to have you refute the claim. It ends up being like someone accusing you of being drunk. The more you try to deny the claim the worse you sound.
