I think this is more going on the attack rather than letting them put us on the defense.

Their accusations are not in good faith. They only do it because it makes us put all our energy on defending ourselves. IE they only do it BECAUSE we're innocent and we'll try to set the record straight every time they do it.

So just ignore their accusations and attack them directly. They're the ones who are wrong, false, and guilty. Treat them like it.
