Things are different now. 2001 interrupted decades of peace. We're still over seas fighting. For the most part, many of the vets that went over seas will tell you that we make things worse for ourselves.

You don't get a rush of liberals joining the military when something like that happens. You get patriots, and they're typically right wing. Most right wingers have some idea that the election was stolen. So you wouldn't get the same response.
