Out of curiosity, did any of them make any Obama jokes? I know he got shit on very briefly after the NSA surveillance stuff came out, but I don't remember a thing other than that.

Something happened with Obama and it hasn't un-happened.

They must have found that their readers/watchers don't like to hear them bashing the left. Likely because it highlights their stupidity and their fragile egos can't take it, so it's turned off. Lose a reader/ viewer = bad for business.

Meanwhile centrists don't care and right wingers probably weren't watching/reading them much anyway. So it's easy to bash Bush or Trump as their audience gets to feel smug and like they're on the "right side of history" or whatever. Dopamine hit, keep tuning in next week for more!

I think Colbert did when he was being a satire of a conservative. Back then he also BTFO'd occupy once the commies took it over, by simply inviting them for an interview and acting as if he was taking their bullshit dead serious. Colbert used to be "not that bad" before he had the LNS
