A year after locking us in our houses, shutting down our businesses and destroying normal human interactions, our great Governor was kind enough to give some of our freedoms back, even though they were not his to take to begin with.

But don't be fooled, now that you sheep refused to fight the BS fake virus power grab, you will again be forced into further humiliation and control when the next made up scare tactictic is hoisted upon you, which will likely bee sooner than later (can anyone say mandatory vaccines to go to the store or "freedom breclets")?

Sadly, most of the sheep don't even know they have been played and will likey walk right off the cliff with the rest of the flock.

HB2196 eliminates the power of the Governor to suspend laws under emergency powers. The Democrats passed an unconstitutional law granting these emergency powers in 1975 with super majorities and a democrat governor. It specifically violates Article 1 sec. 28 of the Texas constitution. You know, after the last dictator Republican Governor Davis ran roughshod over the state with martial law, suspending habeus corpus, imprisoning his political opposition, and refusing to leave office after he lost the election. He was finally removed from the capital at gunpoint in 1873. We amended the constitution in 1875 to fix that.
