Everyone posting about Texas don’t seem to realize that businesses can and WILL still require masks. Yes there will be a based bar or two but this really changes nothing especially in blue cities.

You mean you are, because you to scared to take it off in a store...This pushes people to not wear masks anywhere so shut and fight the power pansy

Bingo!

Both my husband and I reached the gag point a few months ago and chucked the masks. And we're in NY. Crikey, if you can do it in NY, you can do it in TX.

This insanity will only end when the people end it.

It’s not about the state it’s about the city. In Dallas, you will be asked to leave in 90% of businesses for not wearing a mask, mandate or not. Trust me, I’ve lived here for over 30 years.

Give people a few weeks. Courage is contagious

The suburbs will lead the way on this, and it will creep in from there.

Well sheep continuing wearing your mask then and never fight back against anything in your life. Make them ask you to leave. Tell them in Texas you don't wear a mask any longer....make it awkward for them to tell you to leave......or stay home and die

Bro it’s not about being a pussy it’s about the same thing it always was: not getting kicked out of the store. I get kicked out of stores all the time for not masking and stores can still refuse service to anyone for any reason. You’re not seeing the point here.

Yeah but now the stores won't have the crutch of "everyone has to, state says so". Places that drag their feet can see their business go down if they require masks to get in.

The next big hurdle is legal protection for places that stop making people wear masks to get in. Lawyers are frothing at the mouth to sue an establishment if someone says they were there and maskless people "gave them covid"

Florida here. Seems like a wink/nod relationship with retailers here. I've been told exactly twice that I'm required to wear a mask. Both times I just said "no thanks" and kept walking with no further response.

In Dallas, they will ask you to leave. Happens to me all the time.

He's right.

I live in Idaho and we don't have mask mandates anymore but if you want to go into a store, you're wearing a mask.

Boise is supposed to have a mask mandate, but no one listens to that Democrat cunt mayor anyway.

Are you sure about that?

It’s funny you would say that but in the last six months I haven’t worn a mask anywhere I am a Texas resident!

My son and his wife live in Dallas and they are true mask believers along with the rest of the place. However, we live south of Austin and sanity starts once you leave the city.

Nah. West Texas has ignored the mandates from day one. Many places even here in Central Texas don't require customers to wear them. Don't know what you're on about.

I think you missed the “especially blue cities” part. I live in Dallas which is why you don’t understand what I’m on about. These psychos will eyeball you to death then demand you to leave for not wearing a mask. It’s happened to me multiple times in multiple locations. Consider yourself lucky.

I noticed the blue cities but you said "especially in blue cities" and implied it would be true everywhere to some extent. It isn't. I can understand Dallas. I knew a guy from there in college. He was a total flake. Truly unfortunate. You just gotta do your best to ignore it and seek out as many alternatives as possible. Sneak in without a mask for places there is no affordable or possible alternative and only put it on when asked. I don't know what else to tell y'all. You're trapped in a big blue cesspool. I've been there. I was lucky enough to be able to get out. Fight on, brother.
