Yup, whenever some twit answers a question with "I feel...." I cut them off and tell them I asked what they think not what they feel. It throws them for a loop. This is a learned behavior, and I've seen it broken in a teenager once.
You might have been to my Grandpa's School of Reality. His favorite things to say... "Think/Feel/Wish/Hope in one hand, shit in the other, then let me know which fills up the quickest." It's still a major part of my being to this day. The fact is, only one of those things is reality, and that's the shit in your hand. He's also the man that taught me that I really didn't know the difference between my asshole and a hole in the ground at the age of 8.
Well the main cause is that they were taught to feel and not to think.
