How exactly is Trump going to return to office? Are we going to try voting again so they can rig the election the same exact way (except better and smoother now since they hold ultimate power and the executive branch).
These people spent 5 years, billions of dollars, phony investigations, fake smears, a full-on propaganda and collusion campaign with the media, Big Tech, and big corporations, mass censorship, and ultimately a full on blatant coup to get rid of Trump.
They are not going to suddenly just roll over and let Trump win in 4 years. Especially now that they are out in the open and committed open crimes to get rid of him. They aren't going to risk the entire cabal to let someone come in and try and destroy them all this time. Unless, of course, we are able to fix the elections and the corrupt system that supports it before then somehow.
Running for President at least gives Trump leverage. It's a pretext to raise money, stay in the news, and keep supporters active. Electoral victory is only one strategy.
