It's a mixed bag and that's why people are confused. The handlers direct them to their targets..I have personally been there. I remember when they told everyone they are coming to the suburbs next. And they did and were met with everyone with a gun. So they sheepishly claimed they were visiting a friend but were still turned away.
But they were on a power trip and still had backpacks full of incendiaries so instead they went into the wilderness in CA, OR, and WA to start massive multi-state fires.

They just use this to paint themselves as the good guy so they have free reign to prey on whoever they want, by claiming those folks are fascists. I think most Democrats realize it's bullshit, but it's scary that a good portion of them don't and are happy to inflict violence on folks they only disagree with.
