I don't doubt in certain sectors and workplaces in all of America there's been racism against blacks in 40 years. I'm sure it happened somewhere by someone. However, I am certain in the past 40 years that a white man in academia is disadvantaged compared to a similarly or even less skilled black professor or female professor.

I am a white male working in IT and have been in a government position.
Trust me if you are a white male you won't get the job. Every position is a diversity hire.
I am leaving IT as I am now over 40 and getting a job as white is hard in this field.
See it everyday as a service member stationed outside DC. My whole building is full of "other than white" civilian federal employees.
You can be a black Columbia professor and do heroin while bragging about it with no stereotype attached at all. But God forbid any thing white.
