I feel like part of our country has died with him.

CertainlyNotEdward 41 points ago +41 / -0

I don't want to see these photos, and I haven't listened to the podcast since it was announced.

I'm not so naive, but it's like if I don't acknowledge it, it won't actually be true yet. Schroedinger's patriotic uncle.

Too fucking soon, God. Way too fucking soon.

I haven't watched/listened since the day I heard Kathryn announcing it and I sat in the parking lot and cried and cried. I'm crying now, writing this.

A piece of me died.

You assume there’s a part of the country that’s still alive.

23
SquiggyMcPepe 23 points ago +23 / -0

Most of it is still alive and still the America we remember. We get bombarded every day with bad news from every angle but that bad news is almost entirely inside deep blue shitties. Hell even in california once you get out of LA country you don't see any blue hairs or homeless or waves of migrants. We have the numbers and most importantly the 33 red states to work with and all we need to do is get those states to remember they have the power over what happens inside their borders not the federal government. Keep the deep blue shitties isolated and in a generation we will win.

Come down to the parts of the country you can’t find with Google Maps and find out.

RIP Rush. I had no idea he would be buried near St. Louis...I live here. I hope these twats won’t desecrate his grave.

21
c_programmer 21 points ago +21 / -0

They will. But Rush would know as well as anyone that having your grave desecrated by those fucks is just affirmation of a life well lived.

Don't worry. Tyrone and the Boyz from East St. Louis will be out there to his Burial Ground to collect their "Reparations", maybe do a Drive-by on the way.

5
based_illinoisan 5 points ago +5 / -0

You don’t need to worry about east stl. Worry about north county. Bellefontaine and Spanish lake, moline acres, all the small “towns” up there are now over ran dumps. They have their own people that do bad shit.

4
xBigCoffinHunter 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yeah when I saw Bellefontaine I was like “yikes”. I have family buried in Calvary and let’s just say I ain’t risking the drive for a visit. Shame what’s became of North City and County.

3
Robbie06261995 3 points ago +3 / -0

As long as you go during the day (which the cemeteries are only open during the day so why would you be going otherwise) that area is mostly fine, just a hop of of 70 onto West Florissant pretty direct, just gotta remember that some people treat red lights as optional up there so check your nine.

3
TrumpTrainForever 3 points ago +3 / -0

Exactly lol. If you lived there ever, you know exactly how bad north county can be.

Dont get me wrong, east stl is a shithole in and of itself, but north county is equally as bad.

2
based_illinoisan 2 points ago +2 / -0

Lived in bellefontaine for a couple years. Wife’s family was all from there and Spanish lake. They’ve all since long moved on except her father. We were the ONLY white couple in the whole neighborhood lol

3
NotAPuma 3 points ago +3 / -0

Ik. But East St. Louis is more easily recognizable.

7
ThePatriot_2021 7 points ago +7 / -0

If they do it, organize a mob, then promptly beat the perpetrators until they can no longer stand.

2
SpeedyPrius1 2 points ago +2 / -0

I will try to get by there on occasion - it's about 1/2 hour from my house. I'll be happy to do clean up duty.

1
MrAmerica 1 point ago +1 / -0

So many fellow MO pedes. Rush would be proud

31
Daffy 31 points ago +31 / -0

This man deserved a state funeral from a grateful nation.

14
DennyCrane 14 points ago +14 / -0

Trump would have given him one.

4
Fourtyandfourtyfive 4 points ago +4 / -0

I’m not big on civilians in Arlington but Rush would be an alright exception.

Still can't listen to morning radio since he's been gone

6
LookFatty 6 points ago +6 / -0

His show has been FIRE since he went to Heaven.

Straight Fire

2
McShameful 2 points ago +2 / -0

Radio died too

14
HiddenDekuScrub 14 points ago +14 / -0

It seems surreal that he's gone.

Probably the only "celebrity" death I've ever cared about.

13
ps_2020 13 points ago +13 / -0

See you in heaven, Rush. 💛

YouKnowWhatItIs87 12 points ago +12 / -0

We love Rush, a true hero to me and millions of others and his work led to the culmination of President Trump being elected. Listening to the show today with Kathryn answering calls and something Todd Herman said about Rush inspiring people to do so many great things from speaking their minds to opening their own businesses. Rush probably played a large role in me going into business for myself. Always optimistic along with Excellence In Broadcasting. We’ll forever remember the impact he’s had on some of our lives and our movement if you happen to listen to off shoot hosts who only have a career because of Rush.

Suckmyassbernie 9 points ago +9 / -0

RIP Rush, I couldn’t imagine my childhood without rush on the radio

7
LoadedMonk 7 points ago +7 / -0

I hope the leftists won't desecrate his grave site. Maybe some missouri patriots could go keep watch and guard his resting place

9
ThrushLimbald 9 points ago +9 / -0

Maybe the national guard could come chip in after they're done sleeping in the garage and eating metal shavings for the illegitimate resident.

2
rcstl 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's currently unmarked.

1
SpeedyPrius1 1 point ago +1 / -0

I stated earlier, I will try to go by there occasionally to make sure it's cleaned up.

5
Genericwhitemale 5 points ago +5 / -0

Is it just those 3 pictures or is there more?

5
BrionK 5 points ago +5 / -0

We love and miss you Rush.

5
DArtist51 5 points ago +5 / -0

We lost a genuine hero.

5
10MeV 5 points ago +5 / -0

I'm grateful I got to listen to him for 30 years. It was always going to end someday, we know that. It's the nature of things. We must learn from, and enjoy, every single day we are here. We hold a brief candle, and it's our role to pass the light on to others.

Rush did exactly that. Rush passed his light on to MILLIONS of others. A life well-lived, a legacy to be admired. He made the right enemies, as will anyone who stands up for principles.

I like the idea of making the EIB truly a network of solid conservative analysts, conservative voices. But it must not become a bunch of strident complainers. Rush LOVED what he was doing, "having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have". It was his cheerful tone, his "Look what the drive-bys are saying now! This is too funny...." approach that made his optimism so appealing.

Few civilians get a Marine attendant, most are Presidents.

4
phibetared 4 points ago +4 / -0

Medal of Freedom comes with perks, apparently.

2
rcstl 2 points ago +2 / -0

More to do with his longtime support for the Marine Corp charity he helped every year.

5
CrustySockpuppet 5 points ago +5 / -0

Rest In Peace, Rush. And thank you

God bless Rush, Kathryn and family.

4

If rush was a black fentanyl addict porn actor who OD while in police custody he would have had a golden casket and 10,000 people show up.

4
Censorddit 4 points ago +4 / -0

God needed some backup in heaven.

4

God bless Rush and his loving family. My best friend and mentor for over 30 years will be sorely missed.

NP. Aron has some great songs but most people do not know him. A good song for a good man. Rush will be missed.

4
MindsetRoulette 4 points ago +4 / -0

Shame it's on St Louis. I drove through there once and I've officially been to St Louis too many times.

4
based_illinoisan 4 points ago +4 / -0

It’s a shame bellefontaine neighbors has become a dump in the last couple decades. Happened fast!

2
SpeedyPrius1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Now it's moved on down to Dutchtown - unsafe at night. Former Mayor Slay is moving out of his home in Holly Hills as it's finally reached the Carondelet Park. He's moving to The Hill where the thugs are still afraid of the Mafia.

4
MaddieEsquire 4 points ago +4 / -0

What a beautiful place with those rolling hills and scattered monuments. If I am in St. Louis again I would go and pay my respects. It's the least I could do when that man suffered to speak to us passionately for hours, just days before he died. Miss you, Rush.

3
wolfsettler 3 points ago +3 / -0

A great man,he will be missed.

3
Robbie06261995 3 points ago +3 / -0

Oh wow! I live in South County, I'll have to go pay my respects one of these days and fight off any commies who try to deface it.

3
Mary911 3 points ago +3 / -0

I wonder if President Trump attended?

2
Bubbahax 2 points ago +2 / -0

Why was Rush buried in St Louis? He's from Cape Girardeau, which is 100 miles south of St Louis.

1
Hippopoonis [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Born there, but grew up in St Louis.

2
Redpill-notCommieRed 2 points ago +2 / -0

Very modest looking. I expected a mausoleum. RIP Rush

2

I miss Rush even more than I thought I would.

2

How long until the "we must unite" left defaces his grave?
