You can't do it because he doesn't claim to be Christian. He studies Christianity. He discusses it a lot. He knows more about Christianity than most Christians. That doesn't necessarily make him Christian. He also studies/discusses Eastern religion. Does that mean he's a Buddhist or a Hindu as well?
He is technically a doctor, since thats's what a doctorate is. But if you mean that people don't normally talk about PhD-holders as doctors, he's had a clinical practice too, which would qualify him according to that standard too.
