I wish the woke crowd would take into consideration the year books were written. It’s so stupid to fault people for their previous views. Things evolve.

He literally wrote a book about those characters with/without the stars on their chest so being the same inside. I took that as an anti racism/sexism or whatever type book.m, but what do I know, I'm not a moron.

I'm out of the loop.

How is Dr. Suess racist?

Everything he draws and writes about is fantasy crap that isn't based on reality.

Spez: I looked it up. Okay, so they are mad at cartoon characters that portrayed a stereotype of that era. NPR went on about how other books like huckleberry finn would say the N word over 200 times, yet hasn't been pulled from curriculum because of what it teaches about race relations in the 1900's, or some dumb excuse.

This whole cancel culture has gotten way out of hand and we are allowing our history to be scrubbed by a bunch of puritan pearl clutching leftists who literally see race in everything and assume because it was portrayed that way back in the 30's, that it somehow means we in 2021 will teach our children to see stereotypes. This isn't always the case. A child can see something for what it is and develop their own stereotypes. It's something we can't control because, gasp, people are DIFFERENT.

Just because we are thrown together into today's society, does not mean the cultures have changed. I live with Vietnamese people. Some of them have been born here and speak perfect english. They STILL practice their culture and embrace it. It's who they are. Some people who have been brought up different may see some of the shit they do and think it's weird. They will develop a stereotype of these people as a way to generalize them without having to explain in full detail. Doesn't mean they are being racist, it just means they are describing a character that everyone knows and understands.

He was bigoted enough to use language like, "A Chinaman who eats with sticks," and saying China-anything is racist now,. And how dare you assume that someone would eat with the utensils common to their nation of origin!

The shrieking harpies say he drew racist caricatures and portrayed blacks and Asians as exotic or subhumans. The Seuss estate has now stopped production on 7 titles.

A few characters has lines for Chinese people’s eyes and showed the character using chopsticks. That’s basically it.

The truth and right versus wrong does not evolve.
