I finally had an epiphany. I have been trying to figure out why certain elites have always been pushing communism, and why it always makes a comeback. I just couldn’t figure it out, or what their goal was. But now it makes sense.
Communism is simply a way to achieve power. That was already obvious, but I’ve also realized it ultimately becomes an oligarchy politically. A small group of elite live rich, while the population is essentially enslaved.
Obviously nobody will willingly give up their freedom into servitude without a fight, so subversion is used to trick the populace into willingly giving up their freedom and their country. They use deceit to get into power. No different than a sneaky car salesman or banker. The people think they are getting a good deal.
It’s simply a trick on the population to willingly be taken over without a fight, and that’s why it keeps coming back.
And there's always a new generation far enough removed from having any memory of past failures elsewhere that they can be deceived into believing Communism is fair and good for everyone.
Not just far enough removed, they’re never taught because the communists actively audit history to fit their narrative. Kids spend years learning about Hitler, because he targeted a specific peoples, but don’t learn 5 minutes of Stalin.
"But, but, true communism works! It's just never been tried correctly! We'll get it right this time for sure, bc we're smarter than everyone who ever came before us!!!"
