Already had to have a strong conversation last night with some friends about how they believe, "cases will spike" "there will be more deaths" and "Texas will be worse off" without abbots mandate. Hard to get through to them too, They truly believe that mask work to "slow the spread" that lockdowns worked 100% and we still could do more. I pointed out Florida doing extremely well, and South Dakota, but they still think they did worse than like New York once no mandated masks. I also realized that one of them said "New York didn't have a death a few days ago", but he was looking at New York city, New York, and I didn't call him out. He was also kind of condescending saying things like, "it doesn't matter what evidence I show you because you guys will always think its fake." I just needed to vent to y'all about it, wish me luck here in Texas, I think the crazies are about to loose it since Freedom is back on the menu.

I know right, I told them "even if there is a spike from people feeling free to get out and live life again, it will level out and be okay." they did not believe it but whatever.
Yeah, They aren't that convinced, the struggle is that one of them is an Italian who moved to Portland for a few years, and then moved here. So you have European thinking with lefty Portland mixed together. Just cant wait for fake "spikes" to occur and them to freak out on me.

I'm over the whole thing, personally. Let them think what they want. If they're scared, fine. Keep your mask on, stay inside, shutter your doors and let all the other people get along with their lives. I'd rather take my chances with a 99% survival rate of a virus than keep couped up.

Everyone talks about the consequences of NOT wearing a mask, but they dont mention the consequences of WEARING a mask and being isolated. Have them research the suicide/attempted suicide rates amongst teens 13-18 and tell you any of this is worth it.

Where I live, (CA) most of the cases in the second wave of the epidemic came from Mexico.
With all the factory shutdowns in the US, new factories were set up just across the border, with very poor hygiene. The disease got in the factories. People who live and work across the border suddenly accounted for half the total cases.
Worse, the "doctors" would test symptomatic people, and send them home undiagnosed and untreated. Even if the test came back positive in a few days, the patients were left untreated.
If you had your own doctor, of course, you could get treated, provided always the doctor was willing to stand up to the local medical boards, who did threaten doctors for prescribing outpatient treatment for COVID-19.
The big difference between Texas and California is that Texas recognizes that outpatient treatment for COVID-19 is available, and encourages people to get it.
Tell your lefty friends that you love them, and if they get a sniffle, treat it on an outpatient basis like COVID-19, so they can snuff viral reproduction out in the early replication phase.

Never mind the fact that the CDC said back in July or August that the magical, mythical virus doesn’t spread asymptotically like they originally thought. But of course the toilet stream media doesn’t report that stuff. They only report number of cases, deaths, and push mask wearing. There are too many stupid people that believe everything the media tells them, but doesn’t look into what they aren’t telling. Anyone with half a brain knew what was going on.
