There are a lot of good points in this article, but I still think these companies all make a fatal mistake by focusing on trying to appeal to "young white wealthy lefties." They've NEVER been the core market for the brands they're talking about. Pissing off your core market to chase so-called greener pastures is pretty dumb. That's not to mention the fact that this group increasingly doesn't even get married, let alone have kids. These companies are throwing their money and effort into a black hole in many ways.
