True this. They never documented or proved that an asymptomatic passed it on to someone else. But then they also said at the very beginning that masks are ineffective and wouldn't stop it. That's why they pushed common sense things early on like washing hands, avoid touching your face and eyes and staying home if you're actually sick. Some also said quarantines only work when the breakout is isolated to a very small area. Once it's out in the wild, quarantines and lockdowns will have no effect. At that point, the virus has to run its course and only herd immunity will exterminate it for good.
