the economist had an article a while back about china's shadow banking system being massively overextended. their banks have been issuing their own local currencies and making loans with it that doesn't appear on official registers

I heard awhile ago that there was some strife among the 6 most powerful family and that xi might not be there much longer. Wonder what happened to that?
