I’m tired of people lionizing these governors for “giving” people freedoms they shouldn’t have taken in the first place. These guys are just villains who are trying to be less villains. And Abott is obviously trying to get some good press after the power disaster. ONLY DESANTIS should be held in high regard on lockdowns. And Kristi Noem. If someone stole your bike and returned it, they are no hero.

I get what you're saying, but no, let businesses who want to shit on their customers realize the consequences of their actions, and go out of business, because people would rather go somewhere else. At the very least, the Karens will be segregated away from the non-maskers.
The government has already grabbed too much power insisting that companies force their customers to WEAR masks this past year. Having them tell companies that they cannot require customers to wear masks inside their business, is just as bad.
You make a very good point here.
Up until 2020, I would’ve agreed with you, but now I completely disagree.
All businesses have only one sole job and that is to provide a product or service for sale.
They should never be allowed to pick and choose who is allowed to purchase their products.
They should not ever be allowed to create a barrier for any reason at all, ever.
I'm going to respectfully agree to disagree with you.
They shouldn't pick and choose because common sense would dictate that's bad for business, but they should be allowed to if they want to.
Creating a barrier to more business is not a good way to run a business, but if they do, let them reap the consequences.
Walter Williams, sitting in for Rush one day, several years ago, said that as despicable as discrimination is, it should be allowed. If a company thinks they can discriminate and run a successful business, let the public and lack of customers tell them otherwise. The government, coming on to private property and telling anyone how to run their business, is an over-reach of power.
