To put this number into perspective, the US Census Bureau estimates there are 49.5 million school aged children (ages 6 to 17) which means 6% of all students have disappeared. That's 6 out of ever 100 kids have vanished.

That means for an elementary school with 500 students in 2019 that 30 of those kids have disappeared. Thats 1 and a half entire classes that have vanished (average class size in the US is 21.6 students)

That should terrify you.
