Well my current bf isn’t motivated to get a job/be self sufficient (lots of baggage there, not my place to share), so tbh I’m just looking for someone that’s got their shit together lol
Oh believe me, I’m not gonna be dating him and look at the same time. I’m in the beginning stages of getting used to the fact he isn’t the person I fell in love with originally. I hate cheaters, so I won’t become one (long story short my parents got divorced for this reason).
I have given him over 8 months to find a job, lol. He has an undergrad degree, a masters degree, and is now planning on going to law school (aka perpetual student). I’m just tired of waiting around for him to figure out his life, leading me on, and treating commitment like it’s the scariest thing on the planet.
TBH a man gains nothing from marriage today, but risks losing a lot. I don't blame any man for being hesitant to commit with the way no-fault divorce laws are set up and the crazy high rates of divorce.
What's the benefit for taking such a risk? Is it worth the risk? Those are the questions young men are asking today, and a lot of us are saying no thanks.

You're looking for someone while dating him still? That's kinda shitty, even if he is a low life.
