They were absolutely required by their oaths to arrest the government, including Trump (if he didn't order the military to move that is) for not defending the constitution. Trump, as the highest law enforcement official in the land, was required to use any means or agencies necessary to arrest the government, since this did not happen, I believe that the military is too compartmentalized or too political to do their job. I like Trump, but if he did not at least order arrests, than all three branches of government, and the military have committed treason to the people and constitution of the United States.

Being a general is a high paying job. After they quit, a lot of them become executives at military contractors for big $$$$. Why would any of them risk that by rocking the boat.

In fact, the type of person who would do what you suggested, you would never get promoted to general in the first place.

We need to limit access to DC after they get out.

Take away security clearances and have a clause in their employment contracts about working against the interests of America when they leave government.

I don't think anyone would have followed his orders. They were already ignoring and pushing back executive orders after the 6th according to some sources.

That should not be legal.

You're right. I'll add that to the list of things that happened in the last 4 years that shouldn't be legal. I think somewhere after Spying on a presidential campaign or maybe Getting FISA warrants with falsified evidence or maybe Presenting false evidence at an impeachment trial, no wait make that 2 impeachment trials, but it should probably go before Rigging an election. Hard to decide, not sure if murdering the elderly and hiding truth about medicines that help should be the same list or a new one? Would Pelosi's violation of the STOCK act go here? Oh wait, no, that's already illegal.

Be careful, they'll ban you around here for that kind of talk about Trump. I 100% agree with you though.
