I didn't say "believe in yourself" I said commit to the moment and believe what you're saying. Without going too far into this, I have a fairly extensive background in this subject as well. I really enjoyed with David Mamet said in "True and False.." about acting and acting instruction. If you haven't read it, I recommend it.

It's easy (and tempting) to overcomplicate, especially when one's livelihood is built around the concept of "learning to act" being a long and arduous journey. No offense personally, but I believe acting teachers are mostly charlatans and far too many are downright contemptible scoundrels that prey on young people with emotional vulnerabilities.

Having said that I know a very very few acting teachers that are honest and decent people. Very few.

woah woah woah, I don't teach acting in the normal way... I don't make a living doing that shit. It is actually highly contemptible. I more or less teach people to detect lies.

I see, good for you, not actually being an acting teacher.
