He goes on to say that they STRONGLY encourage the use of face coverings. Then he only action he takes is lifting the state mandate but still does not drop the hammer on the local politicians that might still try to enforce a mask ordinance like the idiot down here in Houston, Lina Hidalgo.

People cannot be arrested or fined for not wearing one anymore. However, business can still ask their customers to do it. And you can rest assured, they will be pressured to do so by the idiots in chare like Hidalgo.
They have all ready said all city building will still require it, and they can do that. Same thing with the schools (more idiots) .
